The menu is a well-curated journey through Thailand’s beloved street food classics and regional specialties. Start with the salads like the Papaya Salad, a refreshing mix of shredded green papaya, dried shrimps, peanuts, green beans, and tomatoes tossed in a spicy tamarind dressing that delivers a lively, tangy punch to the palate. Alternatively, the Larb Salad—available with pork or chicken—is a beautifully balanced minced meat salad seasoned with fish sauce, lime juice, roasted ground rice, and fresh herbs, offering an aromatic and zesty experience.
Noodles lovers will find irresistible options such as the iconic Pad Thai, available with chicken, pork, prawn, or fried tofu. This dish expertly combines silky rice noodles stir-fried with tofu, peanuts, egg, bean sprouts, and Chinese chives in a luscious tamarind sauce that’s both tangy and slightly sweet. Another must-try is the Woon Sen Pad Thai, a delightful twist using stir-fried bean thread noodles, offering a slightly lighter but equally flavorful alternative.
For those craving something heartier, the Khao Soi—a northern Thai red curry with egg noodles and tender chicken drumsticks topped with a crispy egg noodle nest—is a standout favorite, adored by regulars for its harmonious blend of creamy, spicy, and savory notes enriched with pickled mustard greens, shallots, lime, and a kick of chili ginger oil.
At Pop Pop Thai Street Food, the desserts hold their own charm. Treat yourself to velvety ice cream flavors like mango, coconut, or green tea for a sweet, cooling finish. For adventurous palates, the seasonal durian ice cream offers an unforgettable indulgence with its rich and distinct tropical aroma.
What truly elevates the experience here is the consistent praise from local diners. Fans like Rae Joon rave about the comprehensive menu and irresistible flavors, while Scott Carey couldn’t resist devouring his Pad Thai faster than planned, praising its perfect balance and inviting taste. Others, like Tom A and Peter Lekhakul, appreciate the attention to authentic dishes such as the braised pork and the rare-to-find khao mun gai, noting the freshness and care in every dish.
In essence, Pop Pop Thai Street Food captures the heart of Thai street cuisine with dishes that excite the senses—combining spicy, sour, sweet, and savory layers that make every bite memorable. Their food was very delicious for me to eat. I ordered pineapple fried rice and pork gyoza and it was good.
Awesome Thai Spot!! Great place for a quick bite to go or even bring your family for a delicious feast! We tried almost everything on their menu! EVERYTHING WAS DELICIOUS My favorite was #29 Khao Soi - NORTHERN STYLE RED CURRY WITH EGG NOODLES, CHICKEN DRUMSTICKS,TOPPED WITH CRISPY EGG NOODLE NEST, SERVED WITH PICLED MUSTARD GREENS, SHALLOTS, LIME AND SPICY CHILLI GINGER OIL Their #6 Papaya Salad was on point too!! We added prawns ORIGINAL THAI STYLE SHREDDED GREEN PAPAYA, DRIED SHRIMPS, PEANUTS, GREEN BEANS AND TOMATOES IN SAVORY CITRUS DRESSING
When we first got there, seemed like a small place, but bigger than we thought. The place was simple but nice. There was a very good selection. We were surprised that they had khao mun gai (grilled chicken with rice cooked in chicken broth and ginger/garlic sauce and chicken broth on the side). Very few Thai places offer this as a standard dish, Bai Tong had it available on special order. The chicken was very well done, rice had good 'chicken broth' flavor, and the sauce was really good. Overall, the first was really good dish, not as good as Nong's on Portland, but the best (only?) around the Seattle area. The phad sei iew (soy sauce, pan fried noodles) with chicken was really good. Typical condiments upon request. Will come back.
Good food, will go back. The Khao Soi is very good. Fried rice is Ok but like the curry taste. Braised pork is very taste. The place is old, small but clean. The one person service is good.
I had the Pad Thai with chicken, but I only got one star in the spicey category. My plan was to eat half and save the rest but I just couldn't help myself. It was that good. I can't wait to come back for more.
We really enjoyed our time here. I got the khaosoi and some gyoza. The food was really good and the staff were really friendly. We can’t wait to come back here again and continue to try other things.
Food was delicious!! Tried their chicken rice dish and pad see ew. Very good even compared to LA food standards. Prices are quite reasonable. Spent about $25 for 2 ppl. Friendly service. No complaints ! Would definitely come back and highly recommend to try. Parking lot has lots of parking too.
